Its rates page warns visitors to be wary of skip-the-line ticket offers and mirror sites, and never to buy from street vendors, because a buyer risks being refused entry.

Who enters the Musée d'Orsay free
The museum's free-admission page lists free admission with and without priority access, in the part of the page we read.
With priority access, and a reservation the museum recommends through its official ticketing service, the groups include:
- People with disabilities who hold an official disability card or a priority card, with one companion.
- Members of the Friends of the Musée d'Orsay or American Friends.
- Several professional groups, such as museum professionals, journalists and licensed guides.
Without priority access, the groups include:
- Under 18s.
- 18 to 25 year olds who are EU or EEA nationals.
- 18 to 25 year olds who are not EU nationals but have lived in France or another EU country long term.
- Students up to 30 in listed art and heritage fields at public universities or art schools.
- Job seekers and recipients of social benefits.
- Holders of the Pass éducation.
Several groups must show a photo ID, and some must show further proof. The page has the full conditions for each group.
The rates page lists the first Sunday of the month as free for all visitors, with the reservation of a visit slot mandatory, and the Paris Museum Pass page also lists the first Sunday of each month as free. The museum's programme page for that event shows dates from May 4, 2025 to February 1, 2026, says the event is now over and lists no upcoming dates. This page follows the rates page, the page whose subject is rates, so check the official ticketing website for the first Sunday you plan to visit.

The renovation article and the Paris Museum Pass page both say that booking a time slot is mandatory from March 10, 2026, and the visit page says the reservation is made on the Paris Museum Pass website. Official Musée d'Orsay ticket or a seller's package
A package adds a service or a second attraction and changes what you receive. In the Google US results of Oct 8, 2026 for this ticket search, at least two of the ten results were websites that are not the museum's and sell Musée d'Orsay tickets and tours with priority skip-the-line wording. We did not open or compare their offers, and this page lists no seller package.
The museum warns visitors to be wary of skip-the-line ticket offers and of the proliferation of mirror sites. Its official ticketing website is billetterie.musee-orsay.fr, and it says that address must include https and the extension .fr. Paris Museum Pass holders reserve their slot on the Paris Museum Pass website, as the visit page states. Savings and speed claims on other sites are not checked here.
