The official place to buy
Buy at ticket.toureiffel.paris or at the Tower's own counters. The Tower names toureiffel.paris and ticket.toureiffel.paris as its official addresses and warns about look-alike sites that call themselves official. Only the official ticket site sells a ticket for the ascent on its own. The Tower says its resellers may sell the elevator ticket only combined with another service, such as a guided tour.
Ticket prices are fixed public rates. The Tower calls a price below the public rate impossible and says “best price” claims on other sites are misleading.

How entry works
An e-ticket is timed. The time is when you must be beneath the Tower, in the queue for visitors with tickets. Allow 15 to 20 minutes for the security checks before you arrive on the esplanade. Another official passage says 10 to 20 minutes for the entry check, so allow the full 20.
Each e-ticket is personal. Bring an ID for every member of the group, children included. Reduced-rate tickets can require proof of age, disability or other eligibility at the entrance.
The Eiffel Tower guide explains how a visit runs once you are inside: the pillars, the kiosks and what to bring.
If your date or ticket is sold out
- Check the online ticket office for same-day e-tickets. It lists them when any are available.
- Use the ticket offices. They sell tickets on the day for immediate access, at the same prices as online. When the summit is full, they stop selling summit tickets until space frees up.
- Choose the stairs. For the top, the official site suggests the stairs to the second floor, then the elevator to the top, bought at the stairs ticket counter, which is usually less crowded than the elevator lines.
- Choose a different ticket, such as the second floor by elevator.
- Look at the official combined offers, which are sold online only.
Official ticket or a package
A package adds a service and changes how you receive the ticket. Third-party listings seen on Oct 3, 2026 describe a physical ticket collected at an agency near the Tower, or a host, with an arrival time before the activity. Those are different products from the official time-stamped e-ticket, so this page shows no price for them beside the official tickets.
What the Tower says about who sells tickets
- Only the official site sells a ticket for the ascent on its own; the Tower's resellers sell elevator tickets only combined with an extra service.
- The Tower operates no skip-the-line system; resellers may only say 'reserved access'.
| What changes | Official ticket | Example package listings |
|---|---|---|
| What you receive | A time-stamped e-ticket, as a PDF or print-out | A physical ticket collected at an agency, or a host |
| When to arrive | The ticket time, beneath the Tower | An arrival time before the activity |
| Price | A fixed public rate | Not shown: it is not the same product |
| Skip the line | The Tower runs no skip-the-line system | A seller may only say reserved access |
The Tower states that it runs no skip-the-line system. A seller that promises one makes a claim the Tower says it does not back. The official site says time-stamped e-tickets save time on site, and security checks still apply.
Tickets and reduced mobility
Reduced mobility limits the choice to the second floor by elevator, per the official site. The table above shows each ticket's access, and the Eiffel Tower guide has the full accessibility statement.
Choose the visit time
The official calendar sets the hours for each date, and summit access may be restricted in severe weather or peak periods. The Eiffel Tower guide lists the hours and last ascents we saw, with the dated notices for closures and busy periods.
An evening visit pairs with time on the water. Seine cruises lists the formats, piers and operators.
